| Technically isn't grappa moonshine made from fermented grape juice? The main process is to make your wine mix by fermenting out the fruit juices, then you distill it to make your grappa or brandy. Otherwise, you can just ferment out your fruit juice, and freeze distill it. Stick it in your freezer, and remove the frozen water, leaving a concentrated alcohol product. However you won't be able to get as high alcohol percentages as with real distillation, and all the bad flavors will be concentrated. You could probably run it through some charcoal filtration to clean up its flavor at this point. Otherwise, you'd have to distill it. |
