| Seems some say burping is good after a meal cause it proves that you are full which means that the food was good which is a big complement to the host (his wife actually who probably did the cooking). Some say it is bad manners. What say u folks???? |

| I think it depends on how you want to be toward others in your presence. Manners are so that people can feel comfortable and even caring toward one another. It seems that because you asked the question that you care about others and want them to feel good about being with and around you. For most people in Western cultures, burping is offensive. That’s why when one slips out; people are quick to say, “Excuse me.” We all get that an occasion burp will get by our guard. But to burp otherwise is generally deemed offensive and therefore . . . the answer to your question is NO, burping after a meal is NOT OKAY! See the Source Site below: |

| It's a culture thing, I many western cultures It is considered rude to Burp. I many eastern cultures, th Beduins for example, it is actually a complement to the host. |

| Yes it is good after a meal because it show that you have really enjoyed your meal to your heart's content. |
