| How much experience do you have? and bear in mind its all very well breeding fish, but please consider what you are going to do with a potentially large number of fry. Pet stores will very very rarely take home bred fish, and definitely won't buy them. If you're a beginner (and assuming there's nothing else in the tank) stick with livebearers, there's no worrying about egg care that way. The humble Guppy or Platy or Endlers Livebearers. If you're more experienced in fish care and want more of a challenge you could try one of these: Bristlenose plecos Corydoras Neolamprogus dwarf shelldweller cichlids Honey, Sparkling or Chocolate Gouramis Wild-type mouthbrooding bettas These fish will need more specialised care, and specific water conditions, in order to breed. |
