Default Does a dark gray countertop look right with tan walls, stone backsplash and

wood cupboards and floor? We have a dark gray countertop, black sink and appliances, wood floor, old mahoganey table and buffet. The walls are now too dark, painted rust. My husband wants to paint tan walls and put up tile backslpash which will be stone, neutral color. Tan and gray, just not sure, I am thinking more of a taupe which is in the counter top. Any suggestions?
