i have a hamster in a wire cage but he sleeps up stairs in a shoes box connected to the cage. He poops alot in the shoe box and pees in one corner of the wire cage.Their is no wood shavings in the shoe box where he sleeps but toilet paper.This way i only have to clean the pee out of the cage everyday but i don't have to replace the litter in the wire cage every week right. I just have to dump the poop out of the shoe box? Any advice. I replace the poop out of the shoe box every two weeks and its kinda a lot so what harm does hamster poop do?????????

well if you don't clean it out then it will start smelling REALLY bad and plus I don't think you'd like to live surrounded by poop. Would you?
